The Existential Bush

In honor of today's coup by Messrs. Rove and Bush (with major kudos to their mate-across-the-pond, Tony Blair, for his generous help in hiding the scam behind Britain's official secrets act and Britain's law banning pre-trial publicity), we here at TCA have selected "All Things Cowboy" as today's Coolness!-site.

Who would've thought that they could pull it off again?

Silly us, expecting an "October surprise," when they needed it to change the subject in August!

Just two days after the democrats in Connecticut registered their disdain for Joe Lieberman and nominated Ned Lamont to lead them in ending Bush's war. And less than 24 hours after the loser was the guest on Larry King Live - the winner nowhere in sight. And also just one day after Tony Snow announced that a vote for Ned Lamont is a vote for the terrorists and 9/11, the Bush administration has sucked all of the oxygen out of the air waves, reminding Americans just how irrationally frightened they can be. A "stark reminder" Bush said, "that this nation is at war with Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom." They even managed to resurrect the colored alert chart, last seen 3 weeks before the Bush-Kerry face-off of November, 2004. Oh, and get this:

With all other news preempted, they got the news channels to cover Bush's break-from-vacation, vacation-break-trip to Wisconsin, beginning with the landing of that all-time chick-magnet, Air Force One:

Will the public never tire of being yanked around by these people?
